My Ministry
We are Barry and Marquita Staley, and we have a long history of serving on the short term mission field both overseas and in the US! With Barry’s first trip to Rwanda in 1989, he felt called to foreign missions. Since then he has served on four continents. Together we have run youth ministries and youth service projects domestically, and overseas. Marquita has lead Community Bible Studies, while Barry has served on various mission boards for our church and foreign ministries. For over ten years we managed and administered several foreign ministries from the states. We successfully ran our family contracting business for over 35 years, and after retiring in 2012, we answered God’s call to serve full time in foreign ministry, and His prompting guided us to Guatemala in 2014.
How We Make Disciples
Our gifting and calling is in Partnership Development. As a couple, we come along side ministries and missionaries, assisting them with leadership training and program integrity, while simultaneously connecting them with partner ministries. With God’s grace, the result builds up disciples while creating quality short term mission opportunities for international teams. Our goal is to strengthen ministries through these partnerships, so they can in turn better serve our Lord. Marquita has a heart to grow deeper in prayer, and her desire is to encourage the IMN team to develop and share more intimate times with God through prayer and devotions. God wants a closer relationship with us (James 4:8) Along the way, our desire is to simply demonstrate Christ to everyone we encounter, and in turn encourage others to do likewise. This is the heart of discipleship.

Where We Serve
We are originally from the Washington DC area. We are richly blessed to have three grown daughters married to Godly men. They are all serving Our Lord in various ways. We have fourteen precious grandchildren and counting! God continually blesses us through their lives! We are now serving full time in Guatemala.
